Patient Policies

Attendance Policy

Your child’s treatment success if dependent upon your attendance. Therefore, we ask that you be on time and consistent in your attendance at Harbor Children’s Therapy. We understand that unexpected events do occur. If you have to miss a session, please follow the guidelines below.

Guidelines for Missing an Appointment

Please notify your therapist via email or voice mail 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel an appointment. A late fee will be applied for any late cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.

A no show is recorded when the clinic is not notified at least 90 minutes before the appointment time. Two no show appointments results in discharge of the patient.

Families are allowed three cancellations within 90 days before potential discharge. If a child is discharged due to attendance concerns, they will be placed on a 90-day break from services. At the conclusion of the 90 days there is an option to return to Harbor Children’s Therapy. The therapist, day, and appointment times are not guaranteed.

Weather Closures

If Harbor Children’s Therapy is closed due to weather, you will be contacted via phone. If your individual therapist is delayed or unable to work due to weather, you will be contacted by them directly.
